So this is the new book I’m obsessed with.
'Uglies' by Scott Westerfeld.
I had seen a few people recommend it online so thought I would give it ago. It’s the first book I’ve read without having any previous knowledge of. Aka, noones told me what happens in it/I haven’t seen a film of it.
I was bit hesitant as I saw someone said they didn’t connect to the main character and thought the story should have been told from the friends perspective. As I find it hard to get into a book, I was worried I would feel the same, however, one chapter in and I was hooked. I’ll admit it might not be the best book in the universe but it does show how people might think in the future, and the way people pick apart their own appearance and their ‘ugly’ features.
Can’t wait to finish and start ‘pretties.’
